These woodland themed wedding center pieces were so fun to make! I love how we just brought in different things from nature to create them!
I loved helping with this woodland themed wedding. Mostly because it was my sister’s but the woodland theme was so much fun to work with. My favorite part was that each center piece was unique. We used wood from our backyard to create these one of a kind live center pieces.
How to make woodland themed wedding center pieces:
First we used one of the small trees from our backyard. It was already going to come down because 2 or 3 other trees were growing in around it and space was limited. We cut it into different sized logs and slices to make wood rounds. We ordered succulents and also had moss, faux vines and floral foam on hand.
I had the hubs drill holes out of each of the logs. We used a hot glue gun to place Spanish moss around the edges and a mixture of floral foam and soil to fill in the holes as a base for the live plants.
After the base we filled in the space with succulents and clippings from other plants. We had a few faux ferns and ivy we used in some of them too. Once you have the plants in you will want to make sure the base is packed down nice and tight. Then keep them watered until the wedding day! Succulents are pretty tough plants but if you choose to use fresh flowers you might want to add them last minute.
We used drift wood and terrariums for center pieces too. I was so please with the way they turned out. It was so much fun going to each table and seeing the different ones.
The woodland themed center pieces can also be used for outdoor parties and home decor. I love how unique these center pieces would be for your indoor plants.
